Krystal first joined in 2015 training as an exterior firefighter. She took a break in 2018 and came back in November of 2024. Already having the basics, it was easy for her to get back in the groove. She is now training to be an apparatus driver/operator.

With a lot of family being members of CVFC, she grew up around firefighters. To her, becoming one herself felt like the right fit. She also wanted to get to know her community and help others. This is a whole life perspective for her. She is a teachers assistant while she attends school herself to obtain her bachelors in elementary and special education. To boot, she is raising her toddler son.
